Like a health potion from a fantasy novel. Funny enough, my grandmother swore by beets for everything. It strikes me that the heart health benefits alone are worth considering. The liver detox aspect is a nice bonus, too. I remember one time, trying to convince my skeptical friend to try a green smoothie with beets in it. He wrinkled his nose and said it tasted like dirt!
